I provide technical and soft skills training for the Customer Service Department at Health Advantage (ABCBS).  I have been with the company for seven years and truly enjoy what I do.  Prior to joining the Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Enterprise, I worked for Southwestern Bell Corporation for five years.   I was born and raised in the N. Little Rock, AR area.  After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Central Arkansas.  I later transferred to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and married my favorite friend of many years.  We have been married for 11 years and are blessed to have three great sons.  Malay received the "Member of the Year Award" in 2006.

President-Elect: Jeanie Filter

I am a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and proud to be a Razorback fan having graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Personnel and Finance majors.  In the following years I have worked in many different industries but always stayed in touched with the field of workplace learning while accumulating over 25 years of experience in the field of learning.   Because I feel so passionate about learning, I am happy to volunteer and work closely with the Arkansas ASTD Chapter Leadership.  When not working or volunteering for ASTD, I’m volunteering for my church with my husband, my sweetheart, for over 30 years.  We are empty-nesters with two children.   In 2008 I’m looking forward to working together with you to improve our chapter.  I challenge you to get involved and expand your knowledge.  See you at our next meeting!  Jeanie received the 2007 Harold McDaniel Award for her contributions to the chapter.

 Past-President - Tonya Hall

I was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  After high school, I attended Harding University.  I married my high school sweetheart and moved to Dallas Texas where I began my career in Health Insurance.  After 4 short years and a baby, my husband and I moved back to North Little Rock.  I have been employed with Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield for 15 years.  I held several positions within the company until finally becoming a trainer in 1993.  I am currently a part of a training team responsible for total development and administration of the training process for the Government Systems Maintenance division of ABCBS (Pinnacle Business Solutions, Inc).  I have been married 18 years and I have two beautiful children.  Tonya received the "Harold McDaniel Outstanding Member Award" in 2006 and the "Member of the Year Award" in 2004.

Director: Dan Clanton

I was born in Monticello, Arkansas, and grew up near Hampton, Arkansas.  After high school, I chose to attend the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, where I graduated with a BSE in English, and later an MS in Counseling.  I taught at Conway High School for four years, then left to take a job with the State of Arkansas.  While working for the state, I discovered that I loved helping adults learn.  I’ve worked in Human Resource Development as well as Education for over 30 years now, and it’s still fun! After 8 years with the State, I joined Entergy Corporation, where I held a variety of HRD positions for 12 years.  From Entergy, I moved to Levi Strauss and Company, where I continued working in HRD, traveling all over the USA. For the last 7 years I’ve operated my own consulting firm, Dan Clanton and Associates, Inc., providing HRD services to many different organizations, primarily in Arkansas.  If you want to know more about me, check out my website at www.danclanton.com.  Dan received the Arkansas Chapter "Lifetime Acheivement Award" in 2006.
