What is leadership potential? How do you identify and develop high-potential leaders? Barney Olson will discuss these questions and share the results of two pilot studies conducted at The HON Company with vendors that provide assessments of leadership potential.
In addition, Barney will take a broader look at how assessing potential fits into the succession planning process at HON and share highlights from the “Road Show” presentation that is being used during the implementation phase of this new approach for succession planning at HON.
Barney Olson joined The HON Company in July 2008 as the Training & Development Manager, with responsibility for leadership development and succession planning.
Prior to joining HON, Barney held various consulting, management, training, and teaching positions over the previous 20 years with Personnel Decisions International, PricewaterhouseCoopers, U S West, Rockwell Electronic Commerce, and Central College.
Barney holds B.S. and M.A. degrees from The University of Iowa and a M.B.A. degree from Texas A&M University.
