The ASTD Baton Rouge Chapter has been updating our communication processes.  You should receive at least two electronic communications each month to keep you abreast of chapter news and events.  Event communications are being managed through EventBrite.com which also tracks rsvp’s and paypal payments. 

July 14th - This is a workshop for employers focusing on positive employment outcomes for veterans and individuals with disAbilities.

July 23rd - [11:30am - 1pm] - What gifts do you bring to your job?  Are you looking for some new ideas for training staff hard to grasp concepts like trust and collaboration?  Do you want to find a new way to each critical thinking skills?  Come to this session and discover some training methods that can bring out the best in your staff and yourself.

August 27th - Training and development (T&D) professionals are the logical choice to facilitate organization change efforts thanks in large part to their training and facilitation skills. But exactly what role or roles might they play in this process? This presentation will review the key elements of organization change and then explore T&D roles relative to 1) recognizing and preparing for change, 2) facilitating the change efforts, and 3) monitoring and evaluating the impact of the organizational changes.

The Chapter Incentive Program (CHIP) is a revenue sharing program that offers chapters an opportunity to earn additional revenue.  With the CHIPs program, chapters share the revenue from new business they generate for ASTD programs and services. CHIPs includes national memberships, conference registrations, and books published by ASTD.
