Central Illinois Chapter

ASTD is a leading association of workplace learning and performance professionals, forming a world-class community of practice. The Central Illinois Chapter's members come from a variety of organizations--Fortune 500 corporations, medium-sized and small businesses, government, academia, consulting firms, and product and service suppliers. The Central Illinois Chapter covers west from Springfield Decatur, north to Bloomington/Normal, east to Danville and south to Charleston/Mattoon.

Awards and Recognition for CIC-ASTD

Since its formation in the 1960's, the Central Illinois Chapter has won recognition from ASTD national for its service to its members.

The award to the right was received for Best Newsletter in Group I in 1973.
The second recognition was received in 1991 for "Achievement in Contribution to ASTD". Similar awards were received in 1990 and 1992.

In 1995 the third plaque to the right was received by the chapter for special projects. Since the establishment of "CORE" requirements for chapters in the late 1990s, the Central Illinois Chapter has been among the chapters regularly recognized for meeting CORE requirements.
