The Eastern PA Chapter of ASTD serves training & OD professionals in the northeastern PA area. We encourage you to become involved in this interesting and dynamic organization. Below are some benefits offered by your local ASTD Chapter:

Participation in our quarterly meetings to enhance your professional skills and knowledge

Detailed information (e.g. topic, speaker time, location, directions, pre-registration and contact person) will be mailed to members and current prospects about 3-4 weeks prior to each meeting.
Network with area corporate training and development professionals and with local consultants in the field of workplace learning and performance. You can gain information & exchange resources.
Visit varied training environments at our member-hosted meetings to observe first-hand how different companies design and deliver training.
Expand your leadership skills by volunteering as a Board or committee member, or as a volunteer. We want to involve our members in programming and special projects.
You will be listed in, and have access to, our online Membership Directory and The Connection Newsletter.
Join one of our SIG'S: Special Interest Groups. They meet monthly and members have found them to be extremely enlightening, stimulating and relevant.
You will be eligible for reduced fees to our monthly programs, workshops and conferences.

Best Practices for Internals SIG
Are you an internal trainer looking for new ideas and best practices? Do you have great ideas to share to other internal trainers become more effective?
If so, you need to check out the Best Practices Forum for Internals, our SIG for internal practitioners. This SIG meets every other month over lunch at various businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley.
The meeting is a roundtable format. Recent host companies include Fischer Clinical Services, Lutron, Just Born, Lafayette Ambassador Bank, Martin Guitar and Binney & Smith and other leading edge Lehigh Valley businesses.
