Our Vision

To provide a vital professional resource in the Greater Rochester (Finger Lakes) region for workplace learning and for employee and organization development.

Overview

We have over 100 local members who work in corporate training or human resource departments in the public, private, and not-for profit sectors. We are excited to serve the community and our chapter is growing rapidly. 
 
Our objective is to increase the visibility and presence in our region and to be recognized by the business community as the premier training and development resource.

Our strategies to accomplish this objective are to:

• Maximize membership growth, retention, and involvement
• Provide educational opportunities for our members and the professional community, at various levels, to enhance professionalism and stay ahead of trends. Provide networking opportunities for training and development professionals
• Promote relationships other professional community groups
• Maximize relationships with National ASTD
• Maintain financial resources to support the chapter’s mission and goals
• Maximize our chapter’s exposure and visibility in the community by promoting who we are and what we do; including our benefits, activities, expertise and resources
• Increase ease and timeliness of chapter website maintenance by connection to the National Website Portal.
• Increase the chapter’s visibility among its members.
