GCASTD Membership
Listed below are the GCASTD membership rates. Individuals paying the full membership rate can join or renew online or by calling national ASTD member services.
Individuals joining at one of the discount rates should call national ASTD member services.

GCASTD Individual Membership
$50 for both new and renewing members.

GCASTD Student Membership
$40. To get the student rate, the member must be currently enrolled as a full-time student.
GCASTD Retiree Membership
$40 for members who are no longer active in the field.
GCASTD Joint Membership
$40 for any local member who is also a national member.
GCASTD Organizational Memberships
To register organizational memberships, call or email GCASTD Chapter Services to request a spreadsheet you can use to enter member information.
Organizations that register five or more members will be charged $40 for each membership. Organizational members receive all of the benefits of standard membership in GCASTD.
Organizations will be required to provide the following:
- The name and address of the organization.
- The name, email, and telephone number of a primary contact.
- For each member, the standard information collected for an individual membership.
Memberships are transferrable, so long as the organization notifies GCASTD of any changes. Anyone from the organization attending a GCASTD event must be on the list to receive the member rate. Individuals not on the list of members will be billed at the non-member rate or the organization itself will be billed at the non-member rate.
Organizational memberships are good for one year from the time GCASTD receives payment. If a new member is added during the year, the rate is $40 and the new member's renewal date is the same as the other organizational members..

- Our Membership Directory provides the most updated membership information on GCASTD members. This is available to members only.
- While anyone can submit positions to the Job Bank, only members may view listings.
- Regular programs provide a great opportunity to network as you hear the speakers address the latest trends and topics in workplace learning and performance.
- Special Interest Forums meet specific needs of members sharing common interests. There are currently four groups: consultants, learning leaders, eLearning/technology, and career development.
- Our Consultants Directory provides the names of consultants in the Greater Cincinnati area that specialize in workplace learning and performance issues. Members can be listed in the directory at a discounted rate. The directories are not a recommendation of any consultant or organization listed.
- The GCASTD Web Site provides online access to membership, programs, consultants, the board and committees. Online registration and secure payment through EventBrite and PayPal is available for GCASTD programs.
- Discounted admission to large programs, including our Summer Deep Dive and our Fall Conference.
- Access to the GCASTD Wiki, submit blog posts for publication on the GCASTD blog, and submit articles for inclusion in our newsletter.

Member Benefits of ASTD National
Membership in one entity (either National or Local) does not mean membership in the other. However, purchasing a National membership can help your local chapter through the Chapter Incentive Program (CHIP).
The Chapter Incentive Program (CHIP) is a revenue-sharing program that allows local members to support their local chapter.
