Types of Time Commitments for Volunteer Positions:

Long term – time commitment is regular or frequent over a period of a year or more. Examples: program committee, e-newsletter editor

Short term – time commitment is regular or frequent over a designated time span, usually less than a year. Examples: photographer, assist with membership survey

Episodic – time commitment repeats at designated times, such as once a month, every other month, etc. Examples: meeting buddies, assist with semi-annual social events.

One-time term – situation where you complete a one-time task or project. Examples: handle registration at an event, create a document for the CORE compliance team.
