Chapter Meetings
Each year, The Long Island Chapter of ASTD hosts 8-10 meetings to support the continued development of Long Island’s Learning and Performance Improvement Professionals. Most of these meetings are held in the evening, from 6pm to 9pm. All Chapter Meetings feature the following:
· A Light Meal
· Ample time for networking and catching up with
friends
· An introduction and update from the Chapter
President or other member of the Chapter Board
· A formal presentation from a thought-provoking
speaker on a topic that directly impacts Learning
and Performance professionals
Special Events
Each year, the Board of the Long Island Chapter of ASTD looks to add more value to chapter membership. One way this is done is by adding Special Events to our regularly scheduled Chapter Meetings. Examples of such events include:
Membership Appreciation Nights: These special meetings feature upgraded food and drink offerings and higher-profile speakers at discounted pricing.
CLO Forums: These invitation-only events are focused on the needs of our most Senior Learning and Performance Improvement professionals, providing content specific to their needs and the opportunity to network with their direct peers. This popular event has become an annual tradition.
