Coaching and the Use of Behavioral Assessments

Those of us working in the human performance field can use scientifically validated  assessments, which evaluate a person’s abilities, interests and behaviors. Performance can be enhanced by using these assessments to improve job fit, build effective teams, and coach for different areas of development. 

Once a person’s competencies are evaluated, targeted exercises and conversations with a coach can help an individual to improve their ability in the specific area.  Coaches help an individual to develop and to become an even better performer.   Allowing a person to reflect and learn from activities will enhance their retention and probability of implementation and development.

 Laurie has 11 years of experience in a corporate buying office where she held positions in executive management, planning and allocation.  Laurie was awarded Merchandise Manager of the Year in 2004 and acknowledged with a company trip for her performance as Director in 2006.  She graduated from Marywood College with a Bachelor’s in Retail Fashion Merchandising and the Fashion Institute of Technology with an Associate’s in Fashion Buying and Merchandising.
