November, 2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the Kirkpatrick Four- Level Evaluation model that is the global standard for evaluation in the industry. The West Texas ASTD chapter is excited to present another stage in this standard with a workshop that expounds on the Kirkpatrick evaluation method. The workshop is based on a new book, Training on Trial by Jim and Wendy Kirkpatrick. The book provides a new application of the Kirkpatrick Four-Level Evaluation Model and a multitude of tips and techniques that allow lessons learned to be put into action now.
This seminar addresses the urgent need for training professionals and departments to create and demonstrate value to the bottom line. Using analogies and best practices, participants will learn a methodology to:
a. Clearly define stakeholder needs in terms of what will success look like
b. Extend their influence and the practice of “training” beyond the classroom and into the workplace, and
c. Identify and leverage “drivers” that will greatly improve the opportunity to make a strong return on expectations.
Jim Kirkpatrick states, “training is on trial, and there is a storm coming that will likely lead to massive outsourcing of training unless we become true business partners.”
Please MARK your calendars and don’t miss this first-class training opportunity (great price, too)! Invite other business professionals and educators that might benefit from this timely informative workshop.
