It is with a high degree of pleasure that I serve you as President of the Valley of the Sun (VOS), American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) Chapter. ASTD is an international organization with 140 chapters. Since 1947, VOS has been a leader in the advancement of workplace learning and performance.
During these turbulent times, companies who invest in workplace learning and performance will be poised for the inevitable resurgence of our country’s economy. An organization committed to learning boosts morale, motivation, productivity, engagement, and commitment; thus showing employees that they are a valued resource.
At ASTD –VOS our mission is to advance workplace learning and performance. By joining VOS, you can take advantage of ASTD’s professional development offerings, including certificate programs and the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance certification.
On a monthly basis, we provide leading edge, highly relevant learning programs, which map to the ASTD Competency Model and positions workplace learning professions as leaders in the field.
On a quarterly basis, we offer free Community of Practice working sessions to address specific topics related to modes of learning, facilitation, technology, return on investment, instructional design and other workplace learning and performance ideas community participants face.
