ASTD - Ann Arbor is a regional association of workplace performance professionals, providing our members with a forum for the exchange of professional development opportunities and resources as they strive to improve workplace learning and performance.
Some of the ways in which this exchange takes place are as follows:
- Monthly programs that address novice to mastery levels of expertise
- Communication on all types of training groups and learning technologies
- Career transition services to members and the community
- Professional training resources to membership organizations and the community

Provide consistent value to link learning, people and performrance to the members by building leadership and a community of individuals, organization and society to achieve work related competence, performance and fulfillment.
Leadership
The affairs of the Chapter are managed by the elected Board of Officers. The Board currently consists of an elected President and Vice Presidents in the following areas: Communication, Programs, Membership, and Finance. The Board is a self managed work team. Those who are elected or appointed to a position on the Board are responsible for attending regular business meetings held monthly.

Each elected officer, as part of the self-managed team, serves a two-year term officially beginning on July 1 and ending June 30. The elected President serves a three-year term.
